Why No VPS?

Traditional signal copiers require you to run a desktop application on a VPS (Virtual Private Server) that stays online 24/7. This means monthly VPS costs, Windows licensing, and constant maintenance.

Sentinel Trader runs entirely in the cloud. Your signals are processed on our servers and executed directly to your MT5 broker. All you need is the Telegram bot on your phone.

What You Need

  • Telegram app on your phone
  • MT5 broker account (any broker)
  • Signal channels you want to copy

Step 1: Start the Bot

Open Telegram and search for @SentinelTraderAgentsbot or click the link from our website. Tap Start to begin.

The bot will guide you through account creation. If you signed up via the web dashboard, your account is already linked—just authenticate your Telegram session.

Step 2: Connect Your MT5 Broker

Go to Settings → Broker in the bot. You'll need:

  • Login: Your MT5 account number
  • Password: Your MT5 trading password (not investor password)
  • Server: Your broker's MT5 server name

Your credentials are encrypted with AES-256 and stored securely. We never see your password in plain text.

Security Note

Your MT5 credentials are encrypted before storage. We recommend using a dedicated trading account rather than your main account. You can revoke access anytime from the bot settings.

Step 3: Add Signal Channels

Go to Channels in the bot menu. For each channel you want to copy:

  1. Forward any message from the signal channel to the bot
  2. The bot will detect the channel and ask you to confirm
  3. Choose whether to enable auto-trading for this channel
  4. Optionally enable AI evaluation (Pro/Advanced plans)

You can add multiple channels and configure each one independently. Some traders prefer AI evaluation on newer channels while trusting established providers directly.

Step 4: Configure Risk Settings

Go to Settings → Risk to set your parameters:

Risk Per Trade

Percentage of account balance risked on each trade. Default: 1%

Max Exposure

Maximum total exposure across all open positions. Default: 5%

Daily Loss Limit

Stop trading for the day if losses exceed this percentage. Default: 3%

Step 5: Go Live

That's it! Once your broker is connected and channels are added, signals will be processed automatically. You'll receive notifications in Telegram for:

  • New signals detected
  • AI evaluation results (if enabled)
  • Trade executions
  • Position updates (TP/SL hits)

Pro Tip

Start with a small risk percentage (0.5-1%) while you test your signal channels. Increase gradually as you verify performance. Use the Dashboard to monitor your results.

Troubleshooting

Broker connection failed? Double-check your server name matches exactly what your broker provided. Some brokers have multiple servers (demo vs live).

Signals not executing? Ensure auto-trading is enabled for the channel and you have sufficient margin in your MT5 account.
